Under the\u00a0Respectful Workplaces in the Arts<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>banner (respectfulartsworkplaces.ca<\/a>), the Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) announces two training videos on workplace harassment in the arts:\u00a0one for employers<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 including Boards of Directors of not-for-profit organizations; and\u00a0one for cultural workers<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 including self-employed artists, contractors and employees.<\/p>\n

These animated videos on \u2018responding to harassment\u2019 are scenario-based. They have been produced to explain the rights and responsibilities of employers with respect to reports of workplace harassment; and to explain the rights and responsibilities of cultural workers who experience or witness harassment. They come with practical takeaways and best practices to recognize and navigate incidents of harassment from both points of view (employer and worker), and include a questionnaire to test the learner\u2019s recall of the videos\u2019 content.<\/p>\n

These and several other resources on the\u00a0respectfulartsworkplaces.ca<\/a>\u00a0website, will be immensely helpful to employers and workers alike who are committed to eliminating harassment and ensuring respectful and safe workplaces in the arts.<\/p>\n
