First composed of a series of seven essays written and developed by artist, critic, cultural worker and art librarian Felicity Tayler, this publication is now available in PDF. The essays were first made available online, as a bi-weekly e-campaign, from March 1st to June 21st, 2017. The kick off launch of the print version was held on September 23rd, 2017, at Nautilus Nautilus, an Or Bookstore kiosk in partnership with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arca.art\/en\/events\/flotilla-the-biennial-gathering-of-arcs-charlottetown-pei\/\"><em>Flotilla<\/em><\/a>, Charlottetown, PEI, followed by a series of launches across Canada in 2017 and 2018; in Edmonton (<a href=\"https:\/\/snapartists.com\/\">SNAP<\/a>, September 21st, 2017), Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec, Winnipeg, Calgary, Saskatoon and Regina at the <a href=\"http:\/\/vancouverartbookfair.com\/19\/\">Vancouver Art Book Fair<\/a> (VABF), and, at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.volumemtl.art\/en\/home\/\">Volume 1 and 2<\/a>, an art book fair in Montr\u00e9al. Sold out, the guide is now available in most Canadian university libraries as well as at the Biblioth\u00e8que et Archives nationales du Qu\u00e9bec (BAnQ).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The Grey Guide<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0seeks to trigger high-level debate about the role of publishing in artist-run culture. Combining theory with practice, the\u00a0<em>Grey Guide<\/em>\u00a0also offers practical guidance in this complex field, so that a new generation of artists and cultural workers who wish to professionalize may do so, while others may opt to remain resolutely DIY if they so please.
