Montréal, November 23, 2016 –  In a recently crafted collective statement ARCA joined an ad hoc group of arts service organizations in Québec, to advocate for more equitable policies supporting Canadian, Québécois and Indigenous artistic production and dissemination in the digital era as part of Canadian Heritage consultations. On Wednesday March 30, I attended the launch of I sign! – a campaign produced by SPiLL PROpagation, an organization bringing together artists from ASL (American Sign Language) and LSQ (Langue des Signes Québécoise) linguistic minorities, and working in all artistic disciplines.  Montréal, March 16, 2016 – Since 2000, the Canada Council for the Arts has presented the Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts to over 100 individuals nominated by peers for their achievements and contributions to Canadian contemporary art… many belong to the collectives at the root of the artist-run movement.
